Contributions to RAICES directly empower our essential rights advocacy, refugee resettlement, and legal aid initiatives. At present, every dollar raised online is dedicated to funding high-impact litigation and vital direct services that are no longer supported by federal subcontracts or subgrants.
Unrestricted donations are particularly crucial, as they allow RAICES to maintain program stability and respond to urgent, unforeseen needs. While we strive to respect specific earmarking requests, in instances where funding exceeds the requirements for a particular project, we will redirect those resources to the areas of greatest need.

RAICES is led by a Co-CEO model featuring immigrant rights advocate Faisal Al-Juburi (Impact and Influence) and nonprofit finance and operations expert Anna L. Flores (Operations and Sustainability), as part of a leadership team with a combined 120 years of practitioner experience. Our program directors have an average tenure at RAICES of 8 years, ensuring that our strategies are informed by deep institutional knowledge and technical expertise in immigration law and social work.

We maintain a "Fortress Balance Sheet" with $34M in investment reserves serving as a quasi-endowment that enables RAICES’ long-term sustainability. Our financial practices are rigorous; we received an unmodified ("clean") audit opinion for 2024, confirming full compliance with U.S. GAAP and federal Uniform Guidance. We also maintain strict segregation of duties and data security protocols to protect every gift.

Founded in 1986 during the Sanctuary Movement, RAICES has grown from a two-person team in San Antonio to one of the most expansive immigration services nonprofits in Texas.
