Lola Tung and Daniel Bravo Hernández to Lead New York Theatre Workshop Benefit Reading of ‘Sanctuary City’
Actors Lola Tung (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Hadestown) and Daniel Bravo Hernández (Romeo + Juliet) are set to lead a one-night-only benefit reading of Pulitzer Prize-winner Martyna Majok's play Sanctuary City on October 9, 2026, at the New York Theatre Workshop. Presented by production company Level Forward alongside producer Colt Coeur and directed by Caitlin Sullivan, the performance directly benefits RAICES. First produced in 2020, Sanctuary City explores the story of two undocumented immigrant teenagers navigating friendship, ambition, and sanctuary in post-9/11 Newark. Every ticket funds RAICES' defense of immigrant rights and dignity.
