Dear [INSERT POTENTIAL DONOR NAME HERE],

Did you know that in the U.S., people and families who are navigating our immigration system are not provided court-appointed counsel? Every day, immigrant families, including children, are forced to face the complex immigration system — alone. Legal representation is often the determining factor in whether someone will be allowed to remain safely in the U.S. or be sent back to the harm they're seeking refuge from.

Today, I’ve made a commitment to defend, empower, and advocate for immigrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking people and families.

Families with legal representation are up to 10 times more likely to have a favorable outcome in immigration court than unrepresented families. That’s why I’m raising money for RAICES to make sure that every single person, no matter their circumstances, has the support to become independent and successful members of our communities.

RAICES is uniquely positioned to support the needs of immigrants today through access to legal and social services in and outside of government detention. . RAICES also advocates for key policies and legislation to improve the immigration landscape. RAICES is working constantly to ensure equal opportunity for all, no matter where you were born.

I’m standing with RAICES because families deserve to thrive.  Do you agree?

When you invest in RAICES, you make it possible for families to remain together and free. With your donation, you’re giving your immigrant neighbors the chance at accessing essential legal support. Your gift matters — your gift, of any size, towards my fundraiser will get me closer to my goal. I hope you’ll join me today.

With hope,
