Unaccompanied children may receive a letter from ICE threatening indefinite detention and immediate transfer to ICE upon turning 18 if they do not waive their legal rights under Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) and withdraw applications for relief, including withdrawing their request for admission with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR)
ICE reportedly intends to detain any unaccompanied child who ages out upon turning 18
Targeted individuals reportedly will be offered $2,500 to return to their countries of birth
Noncompliance reportedly comes with the threat of arresting family living in the U.S.
